We also ask that you provide images of the space you are considering. This sounds like a big ask but it helps our designers see the space and provide better guidance to you.

    Our Showroom & Studio hours

    Our Winchester showroom is open Monday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 10-3. We encourage appointments via the "working with us form." This showroom has our full wallpaper & fabric library as well as examples of soft window treatments and Hunter Douglas products.

    The Wellesley showroom is open Wednesday-Friday and appointments are advised. This showroom is focused on Hunter Douglas but we offer curated sampling for wallpaper and fabric projects.

    Damages & Repairs

    For all repair inquiries send a description of the issue and a photo of the product to CustomerService@tylerandsash.com please be sure to include your phone number, home address, and date of purchase. Please note we only service Hunter Douglas branded products or items made/sold by Tyler & Sash. The product and headrail must be clean, dust-free, and in good condition. Repairs will range in cost depending on the age of the product and the damage. Some items may need to be shipped back to Hunter Douglas. Please allow a minimum of 2-4 weeks for repairs.

    If your product is PowerView please be sure you have changed or charged the batteries in the wand found behind the headrail and the remote control. If your battery wand is not rechargeable we recommend Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries for best results. You can refer to the product guide or call the Hunter Douglas consumer PowerView hotline at 844-797-8439 to walk through the troubleshooting process.

    Will you come to our home?

    Our consultations begin on the telephone using photos of your space. From there we will schedule showroom or in-home appointments. We will come to your home for all window treatment inquiries to gather measurements and provide guidance.

    Lead times

    We generally provide updated lead times upon placing your order as they can change throughout the year. The majority of Hunter Douglas products have a 4-5 week lead time. Items we create in our workroom are subject to fabric availability and can range from 4-10 weeks depending on the complexity of the job.

    Installation Costs

    For all window treatment projects of 2+ windows, there is no installation charge. For projects in Boston, there may be a small parking fee and for projects in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine there will be a trip charge. There is no additional cost to remove your existing window treatments, this must be confirmed when scheduling your installation.

    Powerview Motorized products can be set up on the free PowerView app or integrated into your smart home device. For these projects, we ask that the homeowner be available for a tutorial after installation setup.

    For wallpaper hanging projects you will be contracting the installer separately--those costs will not be reflected on our invoices.

    Homeowner Installation Day Prep

    For the safety of our installer and your family, we ask that children and pets be kept safely outside the installer's path. We ask that the windows be clear of large furniture and breakable items and that the temperature be set between 65-72 degrees. Our installer will provide you with your balance due invoice and we ask that you have a check ready for them to bring home. Should there be any install day hiccups our installer will bring those products back to resolve and replace.

    Whether cold and flu season or a random stomach bug we understand people get sick. If someone in the home is sick or has been exposed to Covid we ask that you call to provide an update and we will reschedule your installation to the earliest available date once everyone is feeling better.

    Discounts and Promotions

    We strive to provide the best guidance and pricing on all projects. Each estimate will include the retail price along with a discount from Tyler & Sash based on your selected product. Hunter Douglas will often run promotions on select products, the current promotions can be viewed here.

    What is the Warranty?

    Individual manufacturer's warranty applies to all purchased products. Hunter Douglas Limited Lifetime Warranty can be reviewed here.

    Tyler & Sash provides in-home service at no cost should a problem arise during the first year. Minimal charges may apply following the first year.

    Payment and Financing

    Custom orders will be a 50% deposit to begin and the balance due upon installation. In stock orders such as wallpaper, we request payment in full.

    We accept cash and check payments along with Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards. Orders paid with credit cards will have an additional 3% service fee.

    At this time we do not accept bank transfers, zelle, Apple Pay, or Venmo. We do not offer additional financing options but our design team is excellent at working towards budgets and phasing projects out in stages.

    Window Treatments

    We provide window treatment services that combine functionality and beauty. We offer the full range of Hunter Douglas products, custom fabric treatments created by our workroom, and an assortment of specialty vendors. For a sampling check out our Product Gallery. Our design team will review the suitable options for your space and provide their best guidance.

    PowerView and Motorization

    Motorized products don't need to be fussy or hard to use. We offer Hunter Douglas PowerView Gen3 motorization using rechargeable battery wands. The easy-to-install wands will hold a charge for 8-10-12 months at a time (subject to use and material weight) before needing to be recharged in less than two hours!

    Powerview Motorized products can be set up on the PowerView app for free and easy adjustments while in your home. If you want the full smart home experience we can opt for a hub that will allow integration with Alexa and Google. This hub will allow you to set timers, use audio commands, and access your window treatments from outside the home. For PowerView projects, we ask that the homeowner be available for a tutorial after installation setup.

    Troubleshooting issues are as easy as recharging your batteries. If your battery wand is Gen2 we recommend Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries for best results. You can refer to the product guide or call the Hunter Douglas consumer PowerView hotline at 844-797-8439 to walk through the troubleshooting process if needed.

    Wallcovering

    Wallpaper enhances a room with texture and color. Our library is stocked with some of the biggest names in the wallcovering industry as well as a wide assortment of boutique collections you may not have heard of yet. Gone are the days of sitting for hours with an overwhelming stack of wallpaper books--We will utilize photos of your space while discussing the atmosphere and appearance you envision. After our conversation, our team will curate a selection of samples for you. If you don't have an installer, that's not an issue—we'll connect you with one. The installer will send you a labor estimate, and we will confirm the wallpaper quantity needed to provide you with a quote.

    Pillows & Cushions

    From decorative throw pillows that add a fresh touch to your living room, to large, comfortable cushions for built-in benches, we have everything you need. We’ll utilize photos of your space to explore our vast textiles library, creating a one-of-a-kind design that is uniquely suited to your family's needs.

    Interior Design

    Whether starting from a blank canvas or aiming to revamp an existing space, we recognize that every family has distinct preferences and needs for their home. We offer full design solutions for both the entire house and specific rooms that require a makeover. Not sure how to begin- perhaps a 90 minute in home consultation would be the way to go.     Who are Tyler & Sash?

    Choosing the ideal name for a store can be more challenging than it appears. We brainstormed options such as "Shaun’s Shades" and even playful ones like "50 Shades", but ultimately settled on the more classic-sounding "Tyler & Sash." This name is inspired by Shaun Tyler Burgess and the term "sash" referring to window sashes. There’s a certain charm to this familiar-sounding name with its unique twist.
